Sneak Peak: ‘The Disaster Artist’ (sold out)

Join CPH PIX and Empire Bio for a sneak peak of James Franco’s homage to ’the worst film ever’ on January 31. The screening is introduced by Elias Eliot from the podcast Han Duo.

With ’The Disaster Artist’, James Franco transforms the tragicomic true-story of aspiring filmmaker and infamous Hollywood outsider Tommy Wiseau—an artist whose passion was as sincere as his methods were questionable—into a celebration of friendship, artistic expression, and dreams pursued against insurmountable odds.

Based on Greg Sestero’s best selling tell-all about the making of Tommy’s cult-classic disasterpiece ’The Room’ – notoriously known as ’The Greatest Bad Movie Ever Made’ – ’The Disaster Artist’ is a hilarious and welcome reminder that there is no limit to what you can achieve when you have absolutely no idea what you’re doing.

James Franco himself plays Tommy Wiseau which he won a Golden Globe for earlier this month. Among the star-studded cast are also his little brother Dave Franco, Seth Rogen, Alison Brie, Zoey Deutch, Zac Efron and Sharon Stone.

Elias Eliot, who originally brought ’The Room’ to Denmark in 2011, has been a consultant at Greg Sestero’s book ‘The Disaster Artist’ and co-produced the upcoming film ‘Best F (r) rends’, that reunites Greg Sestero and Tommy Wiseau for the first time in 15 years.

Elias will be present before and after the screening to answer questions from audience. The Q&A will be held in Danish.
